I came across this quote the other day and it reminded me of how I felt about my new hats from Two Baked Buns. Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows how much I really love hats. All kinds of hats. But I've never had a hat that was specifically made for me, exactly how I wanted it to me and of such superb quality. That's why when I read this quote on the wall of a little shop last week it reminded me of these two hats I'm am sharing now. And yes, I did already share both of them on my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages, but how could I not when I just can't stop wearing them?
I kept seeing the most unique but also very sophisticated hats on the travel blog I follow called Two Baked Buns. The blog itself is so inspiring, full of adventure and always making me want to get out and do more! I find lots of practical but fun tips on topics such as protecting myself from the sun which you can check out here and I was really happy to find this post on Road Trip Essentials right before I drove 22 hours from Rhode Island to Florida with my husband and kids.

I also follow @twobakedbuns on Instagram because it's a beautiful account full of only the most inspiring and obviously well thought out captures, and every single post is one that makes me stop and wonder. So often in the world of social media it seems everything and everyone, me included, is so fast paced. There's definitely a place for quick bits of information, motivational images and quotes, easy ideas, funny and sometimes even comical posts. I follow so many of all of those type of accounts and love them all for different reasons. I've followed @twobakedbuns for months now for the way it makes me feel about the world. Every time a post from @twobakedbuns pops into my feed it makes me smile and think about the possibilities. The many different parts of the world there are to explore and lately I noticed hats. Of course I went over to the website and instead of looking to see if there was a new amazing post to read I found a section that said shopping. And I found the most marvelous hats! I immediately messaged the writer/owner and she told me a bit about herself and the company.
Candi was such a fascinating person to speak to. I was in awe of all that she has accomplished already with her inspiring Instagram account and very successful blog. She explained to me that her line of one-of-a-kind hats was a result of wanting to contribute to the world. She wanted to have something that was completely hers but that enriched the lives of many. Two Baked Buns, the business, allows her to be intimately involved with many people and brighten up their entire day. She wanted to create something that would make people look and feel good and also feel so special knowing that no one else in the world has the same hat. Even if people choose the same words,phrases, colors and style each hat is handmade with love , with the customer's satisfaction the top priority.
Candi certainly succeeded in not just brightening up my day, but my whole summer with what I consider true works of art. I spent so much time looking at the different styles available, and phrases and words that were suggested. My first idea was to order a pink hat with gold glitter letters with the words "Rose All Day" and I also thought about getting my name. I am completely obsessed with the Mischievous Floppy Set and I made some notes for future holiday shopping when I saw this one. I definitely know a few little girls that would absolutely adore one of these Baked Floppy Kids hats!
Finally I decided on the Voyage Panama with the word "Dreamer" because I truly am forever and always dreaming. And I also thought this style and color would coordinate well with my wardrobe. Obviously it does because I've worn it a gazillion times this month.
