Kindness is Always In Fashion: Real Mom & Son Style

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Aesop

Kindness makes a difference. Those of you who are regular visitors of the blog know how important it is to me to inspire and celebrate kindness in the classroom and at home with my own children.

I’m so excited that I discovered an account on Instagram called @inspirekindacts because they have made positivity and intentional acts of kindness a priority.

Check out their website and find out how they are igniting a movement that makes kindness less random and more intentional and how you can be a part of their awesome community.

My son and I were excited to find these fabulous tee-shirts and bracelets in their Kindness Shop and, as you can see, they certainly did add a lot of style to our outfits today!

William wore his ‘It’s Cool To Be Kind’ tee- shirt and bracelet with shorts and sandals from Target. We are not sure where the sunglasses are from. They might have been hidden in his Easter Basket or could have been from Papa. He had them saved for a few years before he grew into them.

I wore my ‘Inspire Kindness’ tee-shirt and bracelet with a J.Crew dress which I found at thredUP a few years ago and bright, cheerful sandals from Target.

My little printed clutch is Diane von Furstenberg and just like the cute little dress, I found it at a ridiculously low price at thredUP.

My hair is pink thanks to the talented Janinne at Meraki Salon in Johnston, RI.

I found my sunglasses on a super affordable website that has a gazillion different design options and is called sunglassLA.

So, this is not exactly an accessory or part of my outfit, but yesterday I was SO excited to receive my book in the mail and it was the VERY FIRST TIME I ever saw it and now I can’t put it down. I still can’t believe it’s all real! You can find the book here or here or here!

Chapter 1 is called: Promoting Peace, All Day , Every Day: 15 Ways to Empower Students to Handle Conflict Through Kindness. The entire book is full of ideas and activities to support social emotional growth while providing meaningful learning experiences.

I love this handmade hat and ended up wearing it for most of the day today as we all attended our family reunion, which was a huge outdoor event and awesome. I found the hat at twobakedbuns.com. Mine says ‘dreamer’ but you can have it personalized with your name or any word you prefer.

The little cropped denim jacket is from the Wild Fable collection at Target. They have so many really great denim pieces right now to choose from. I love adding denim to summer outfits to ease into the fall season when it’s not really cold enough for leather or wool layering pieces.

My son was inspired to create a brand new comic book with characters who intentionally spread kindness and make the whole world a better place.

Of course, I’m really proud of him and just really excited about being able to share these awesome tee-shirts and bracelets with you today!

Thank you so much for your time and attention. I hope you found this post worthwhile.

I’d love to connect further so feel free to leave a comment, email or direct message on social media and I’ll be sure to get back to you in a timely fashion.

Yours truly,

Jennifer
