Just coming home from an ordinary Tuesday workday to what I thought was going to be an ordinary evening. My iPhone case from https://www.shieldoncase.com/ has quickly become my new favorite accessory. SDCODE10 will save you 10%
We were all so excited to see this beautiful bouquet from FloraQueen today. They truly made our ordinary Tuesday extra sweet and special.
William was telling me that they match my dress, which is Suzy Chin from Thredup. My shoes are Carlos Santana from Burlington Coat Factory.
Today when I received a special bouquet from FloraQueen I was reminded of a quote which is one of my favorites.
Although it's often been attributed to e.e.cummings, it actually appears in Hamatreya, by Ralph Waldo Emerson. A slight misquote, its meaning taken out of context is quite different than in the poem.
The full line in the poem reads:
"Earth laughs in flowers, to see her boastful boys
Earth-proud, proud of the earth that is not theirs;
Who steer the plough but cannot steer their feet
Clear of the grave."
Out if context it's a light and cheerful image, warm and fuzzy even. In context, it's an illustration of nature's supremacy, mocking the arrogance of a humanity which thinks it holds dominion over earth-an immortal force created long before we existed and will remain long after we've gone. I definitely find the quote more interesting with the nuances of meaning the poem presents, and I still feel it's a cheerful pick me up as flowers are.

To me "The Earth Laughs in Flowers" is a reminder to pay attention to fleeting instances of beauty and to appreciate what I have when I have it. Because as Emerson points out, the nature of life is transitory. Life and the people that bring joy to us should be celebrated.
I enjoyed receiving my bouquet so much I'm going to show my mom how much I appreciate her with a beautiful arrangement of flowers and chocolates from FloraQueen.

FloraQueen started selling flowers online in 2002 and over time realized that sending flowers to your loved ones is actually sending a message escorted with a beautiful bouquet of quality, fresh flowers or an amazing gift.
Their mission has grown from sending flowers into sending messages of care and love, messages between people who trust them to deliver their gifts with care and punctuality. They turn any day into a special occasion! Whether you wish to send a bouquet of flowers or a gift to say "I Love You," "Happy Birthday!" Or "Thinking of You" you can count on FloraQueen.
The hands free option on my new Shieldon iPhone case allowed my son to catch up with his favorite blog while hanging around outside.
There are so many different bouquets, arrangements, gift baskets and presents to choose. The selection is endless. My bouquet has my absolute favorite flowers. I love Gerbera Daisies because they are cheerful, bright and bold. I love pink roses because they represent grace, elegance, sweetness and poetic romance.
