The Exclamation Point to Timeless Chic: Michael Kors + Bonali
“I've always thought of accessories as the exclamation point of a woman's outfit.”
Michael Kors
Award winning American designer Michael Kors is known for his timelessly chic creations and his innate sense of glamour.
His quote about accessories being ‘exclamation points’ has always resonated with me, and it came to mind when I was recently shopping at the Michael Kors Outlet in Wrentham, MA.
I found two great pieces that I knew would be great as fall transition pieces, and I knew exactly what the ‘exclamation points’ would be. I immediately thought of the Bonali Collection!

The chic navy jumpsuit was the perfect piece to pair with the World Atlas Necklace from Bonali and I really love how the Goddess Charm Charmant Necklace, also from Bonali, compliments this gorgeous chiffon wrap dress.
Putting these outfits together reminded me of another quote by Michael Kors:
“The perfect accessory can make the difference between looking blah and totally to-die-for.”
I love how Kors got started in fashion. Although so many people think of him as a judge on the popular television show, Project Runway, or for designing Michelle O’bama’s dress for her first official portrait, his early years are fascinating.
As a toddler, he was a model, appearing in national campaigns for Lucky Charms cereal and other widely known products, and at the age of five he designed his mother’s wedding gown!
Although he did attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, he dropped out after two semesters. Shortly after that, Kors went to work at the French boutique, Lothar’s, which allowed him to design and merchandise his first fashion collection. It received so much attention he was able to launch his own line, which was sold in the high-end department stores Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.
I’m so glad that he eventually launched KORS Michael Kors, which is a more affordable line and that we can find his unique collections at so many different places around the world, even the outlets in New England!
His pieces, whether high-end or from his lower-priced line, are just like this beautiful jewelry I found at Bonali, all truly timeless and with just the right mix of elegance and personally.
i also think that these selections, from Kors and Bonali, live up to the expectations that Michael Kors suggests are necessary in this quote:
“When you try on something, you have to ask yourself, 'How many ways could I wear this? Could I wear it to work? To dinner or drinks? Will it span the seasons' If you have to think too hard about those questions, then skip it.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Kors? Are you also obsessed with the designs from Bonali? I’d love to know your thoughts.
Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I hope you found this post worthwhile. I truly appreciate your time and attention.
