A Little Bit of Summer: Shein Style/ Simple Pleasures
“Cause a little bit of summer is what the whole year is about.”
John Mayer
It’s finally officially summer and even though everything is a bit different right now, with having to wear masks and be so careful about social distancing, there is still SO much to be excited about.
Of course for me, being a Rhode Island girl, I look forward to the beach. It’s not only about the abundant sunshine and being at the ocean. We have friends we connect with at same place, same time every year and it’s so great to catch up at Galilee without having to be rushed with a busy agenda.
For many people, it seems like these simple pleasures are what’s appreciated the most this time of year.
Here are some simple pleasures that were mentioned recently on Twitter and Facebook when I asked people to share.
Thank you so much Denny Soares for the awesome picture!
Lemonade ( for Rhode Islanders it’s Del’s always!)
Sleeping in without an alarm clock
Road Trips
Roasting Marshmallows
Fireflies
Wine tours
Camping
Bocce and other yard games
DIY projects
Sitting by a fire at night
Pick your own fruit places ( strawberry picking is my favorite!)
Performances in the park
Stargazing
Soaking up the Scenery
Water fun (the ocean, a lake, super soaker battles, a dip in the pool)
Picnics
I have to admit one of my favorite things about summer is being able to wear a sundress, sandals and a hat wherever I go. I do wear dresses most of the time throughout the whole year but they always require so many layers and accessories for them to be practical in New England from September-May.
I couldn’t resist adding these two simple but so adorable and affordable dresses from Shein to my summer wardrobe this year. First of all, their lace up backless halter maxi dress can be found here on this link.
Next, their double v neck tribal print slip dress can be found here on this link.
Remember to always use CODE: MTFIista when shopping at Shein for 15% off.
Another fun piece I found recently is this awesome tee-shirt called Open Road. It’s from Redbubble, designed by CRObrien, and you can find it here at this link. I love it with jeans, which you might have noticed on my Instagram a few weeks ago, but today I actually threw it on over a little dress.
Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I really appreciate your time and attention. I hope you found this post worthwhile.
What are your favorite simple (or not so simple) pleasures of summer?
If you would like to connect further, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment, message, or reach out on any of my social media channels.
Yours truly,
Jennifer
One more dress from Shein that is perfect for any summer occasion. I found it and blogged about it a few years ago and wore it again recently on my birthday.
